What is coaching?
Coaching is a confidential partnership where I serve as your co-pilot in your development journey. We identify and achieve your goals by challenging your thinking and perspectives. Through questions and reflection, we uncover your beliefs, fostering self-awareness that empowers you to act intentionally and strategically. This process often unlocks new levels of imagination and creativity.
What is a typical number of coaching sessions?
I have found that, on average, six sessions are optimal for coaching, with a meeting frequency of every 3-4 weeks. This frequency provides enough time for my clients to implement the action items that they have come up with in our sessions. Of course, depending on what you want to focus on, 1-3 sessions may be sufficient. This is something that we would explore at our initial meeting.
Is coaching a professional or development expense?
Many organizations accept coaching as a professional development expense This must be approved by your organization prior to engaging in coaching. I am happy to provide a provisional invoice for approval by your organization in that circumstance. For Canadian specialist physicians, The Royal College of Physicians of Surgeons of Canada recognizes coaching as a Section 3 activity of the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
What is your approach to leadership coaching?
As a coach, I serve as a confidential thinking partner, supporting clients by helping them reflect on their perspectives and possibilities. I guide them in clarifying their intentions and values and strategizing their path to action, empowering them to direct their own stories.
